- Fresh Meet

Happenstance magazine cordially invites you to sink your teeth into FRESH MEET, and see what happened when we let some of Sydney’s finest loose on a bunch of body parts.
With delicious contributions from Ben Ong, Will Loeng, Gemma O’Brien, Jin Hien Lau, Charles Dennington, Daryl Prondoso, Del Lumanta and Rebecca Murphy, FRESH MEET promises an exciting visual feast.
Come help us put the can back in cannibal from 6pm Thursday July 9, in the basement underneath the Marsu Homme pop-up store, 263 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst. Refreshments provided.
I’m sick as fuck with swine flu or some shit but I managed to finish this piece for a group exhibition this Thursday, featuring some amazin’ artists and friends, it should be fun times if I manage not to spew everywhere on the night, but I guess that’d be quite fitting. These are going to be hung by meat hooks in a creepy basement. Say hello.

- time wastin’
I’ve been ignoring this place like I’ve been ignoring sleep and general wellbeing as of late. Boss is out of town so I’m looking after the business for a little over a month, and while I’m surviving okay it’s the usual case of me taking on more than I can handle without any regard to my sanity - yesterday’s seven deadlines didn’t do me too well. But even so, there’s so many things I’m excited about and inspired from and things I want to create and places I want to go, I’m thinking of taking a few weeks off once my boss comes back just to concentrate on making zines and drawings and recording shitloads of music and put out a bunch of records and cassettes. Or most probably sit around and get stoned and watch Vampyros Lesbos on repeat.
- idn - from sketch to production

Earlier this year I was asked to be a part of a special edition of IDN which profiled a number of artists and designers from around the world who competed in Cut & Paste. I finally saw this in print at the Sydney Cut & Paste event a few weeks back and it is both amazing and daunting sharing space in the same publication with some of these amazing people. Check out the book here as well as my douchey profile/work on the website here.

- Dead Farmers - Go Home

Dead Farmers are, with no doubt in my mind, the best band in Sydney right now. For fans of Minutemen, Stooges and Comets on Fire - Go listen to their shit and buy this 12” when it eventually comes out. They are also playing the launch of my friends’ new project - Happenstance magazine, sometime in April. Keep yr eyes / ears / mind peeled.
